As Christians we know how much God loves us because we have experienced God’s love in our lives. We prayed and asked God to forgive us our sins and God did just that. God lifted the burden and the weight of our sin and forgave us of all of our sins and we were born again.

It says in the Bible:

“We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.” – Colossians 1:11-14

“Weliba waxaannu Ilaah baryaynaa inaad ku xoogaysataan xoog oo dhan sida uu yahay itaalka ammaantiisu xagga adkaysashada iyo dulqaadashada farxaddu la jirto oo dhan. Mahad baannu u naqaynaa Aabbaha inaga dhigay kuwa istaahila inay ka qayb qaataan dhaxalka quduusiinta nuurka ku jirta. Isagu waa inaga samatabbixiyey xoogga gudcurka, oo wuxuu inoo beddelay boqortooyadii Wiilka jacaylkiisa, kaas oo aynu ku leennahay madaxfurasho ah dembidhaafka.” – Kolosay 1:11-14

God is love. God cares for us very deeply. God cares about all our needs and our troubles and the pain that we feel in our hearts. He will never forsake us; He will never leave us; He will never abandon us.

Jesus says to us:

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.” – John 14:16-18

Aniguna Aabbahaan baryi doonaa, isna wuxuu idin siin doonaa Gargaare kale inuu idinla jiro weligiin, waxaa weeye, Ruuxa runta ah oo aanay dunidu qaadan karin, waayo, ma aragto, garanna mayso, idinkuse waad garanaysaan, waayo, wuu idinla jiraa, wuuna idinku jiri doonaa. Idiinkama tegi doono agoonnimo, ee waan idiin imanayaa.” – Yooxanaa 14:16-18

The Holy Spirit has come into our hearts and lives within us. This is how we know that God loves us because we have His Holy Spirit living inside of us. The world doesn’t not have the Holy Spirit living inside of them; and neither do people who have not called upon the name of the Lord to be saved.

But we have called upon the name of the Lord to be saved. We have asked God to forgive us our sins and we have accepted Jesus Christ as the Savior of the Lord. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and that it was His blood on the cross that cleansed us and washed away all our sins: Glory to His name.

We experienced the blood of Jesus Christ washing away our sins and we were forgiven. God gave us His Spirit and put His Spirit inside of us; Jesus said this would happen. And it is God’s Spirit in us that make us feel Holy and clean; it is like we have put on a set of new shining and pure clothes of righteousness; we have been made clean by God.

It says in the Bible:

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” – 1 John 4:16

“Oo innaguna waan garanaynaa oo waan rumaysan nahay jacaylka Ilaah inoo qabo. Ilaah waa jacayl; oo kii ku sii jiraa jacaylka, Ilaah buu ku sii jiraa, Ilaahna isaguu ku sii jiraa.” – 1 Yooxanaa 4:16

The love of God can do amazing things in us. The Holy Spirit living inside of us is a real person; He thinks and feels and works within us. We are so blessed to have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. This is why Jesus told His disciples that it was good for Him to go to heaven to be with the Father because if He went to heaven we would receive the Holy Spirit.

One man was a terrorist and lived in a country named Peru. He was fighting for the terrorists to try and overthrow the government. His name was Ricardo. Ricardo would listen to the radio programs that the leader of the terrorist group would play for them. But Ricardo’s heart was growing unhappy with all the hatred and evil that the people around him were doing. Ricardo was looking for something else; he was looking for something good.

So one day Ricardo managed to look for some other radio programs and he found a one that was talking about the wonderful love of the Lord Jesus Christ. As Ricardo listened to the radio message about Jesus he heard these words: “you need to forgive your enemies for all the bad things they have done against you.”

Ricardo felt these words go deep into his heart. Many years ago some very rich people had taken advantage of his family and Ricardo was very bitter in his heart toward them. Now Ricardo forgave them of their sins and he felt a wonderful peace come into his heart. He was able to love those who had taken advantage of his family. He was surprised at the change in His heart.

Ricardo left the terrorist group and found a church and starting going to that church. He was a changed man. He was now filled with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit changed Ricardo’s heart; Ricardo was now able to love and forgive people and to be kind to them. It was the work of the Holy Spirit in Ricardo’s life.

And this is the power of Christ at work in our hearts and in our lives. We also have come to believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and our hearts have been changed by the Holy Spirit and we are now living a new life in Christ. The old things have passed away and Behold the new has come. God has put a new song in our hearts. God had taken away the heart of stone that we had and given us a heart of love. We are a new creation in Christ; we are new men and women in Jesus Christ. We belong to God. We are children of God and we belong to the family of God. We love all people and do not hate anyone anymore.

Before Jesus went to heaven to be with His Father he told those who believe in Him:

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.” – John 14:16-17

Aniguna Aabbahaan baryi doonaa, isna wuxuu idin siin doonaa Gargaare kale inuu idinla jiro weligiin, waxaa weeye, Ruuxa runta ah oo aanay dunidu qaadan karin, waayo, ma aragto, garanna mayso, idinkuse waad garanaysaan, waayo, wuu idinla jiraa, wuuna idinku jiri doonaa.” – Yooxanaa 14:16-17

This is the promised Comforter who Jesus said was going to come. Jesus said that someone would come and help us; Jesus said that even though He was going to go to heaven God would not leave us alone. We would always have a friend living inside of us who was going to help us in all of our situations. This person living inside of us is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said a Comforter would be living inside of us. Only a Spirit could come live inside of us. But it is not an evil spirit, or a demon, or a jinn. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to live inside of us. And this Spirit is good. This Spirit helps us and causes us to have good thoughts and good desires. This Holy Spirit is living within us and is guiding us and leading us in our lives. The Holy Spirit is a real blessing to us. The Holy Spirit helps us to overcome the spirit that is in the world and the power of the devil.

And because we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us we know that God loves us. How did we know that our mother loved us? Our mothers gave birth to us; our mothers gave us food and took care of us. We know our mothers loved us because they were in our lives and helped us with the basic needs that we had. We could see them; we could hear them; we could see how much our mothers worked for us and what they did for us.

The Holy Spirit is also a living power living inside of us. God has given us His Spirit who is living inside of us: this is how we know that we belong to God and that we are not alone. This is how we know how much God loves us because He forgave us of ours sins and He gave us His Holy Spirit and we feel the Holy Spirit alive and at work in our hearts.

“And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.”

“Ruuxiisuu ina siiyey oo taasaynu ku garanaynaa inaynu ku sii jirno isaga, isaguna inagu sii jiro.”

So let us rejoice and be happy in the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us continue living for Jesus Christ and following the teachings of Jesus.

Let us pray…..
