God is a person. God is a friend. God is someone who is closer and more helpful to you than any family member. God is faithful and merciful. God hears your prayers and wants to help you. God is someone you can talk to and someone who talks to you. God is always with you. He is always beside you and around watching over you and hearing your prayers. He can even read what is going on inside your mind and inside your heart. You can trust Him. You can trust Him with everything. You can trust Him with eternal salvation. You can trust Him with your life.
Bad things happen but they will stop
If bad things are happening to you that doesn’t mean that God wants those things to keep happening to you. One day they will stop. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:4).
Even if some things last until we die, we have a promise from God that He will take away pain, and suffering, forever. When we are in heaven in the presence of God there will be no more pain and no more suffering.
Miracles happen here on earth
Some things happen here on earth. God can hear our prayers and healings, deliverance, and other kinds of miracles happen to people on earth all the time. Jesus said: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10).
Yes. Jesus appeared on earth to show you that you can trust in Him and to give you eternal life. Jesus said: “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” (John 14:1).
You can ask God for anything
If a child is hungry they may go and ask their mother for something to eat and their mother will prepare it for them. If we are in need of anything, if we are hungry for anything, then we can pray to God and ask Him for help, and He will help us. God is our hiding place, He will protect us from trouble, He will surround you with songs of deliverance.
It says in the Bible: “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” (Psalm 32:7).
You can get closer to God if you want to
God said: “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” (James 4:8). That means if we come closer to God, He will come closer to us. We do not have to be afraid to pray to God. God is there. God is everywhere. You can get closer to God if you want to. Just pray and ask God for anything.
It says in the Bible: “O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.” (Psalm 62:8).
God hears our prayers
We can pray to God and we know that God will help us because God is love and He loves us very much. God cares about what we are thinking and what is happening to us. Jesus teaches us. Jesus said: “Why, even all the hairs on your head have been counted! Stop being afraid. You are worth more than a bunch of sparrows.” (Luke 12:7).
God has counted all the hairs on your head. He knows every pain and burden on your heart. He cares about everything that is going on in your life and around you. He wants to help us. His is kind and loving to anyone who calls upon His name and asks Him for help.
God helps everyone
Hannah was a woman who could not get pregnant. This made her very sad. She cried for many years and one day she cried out to God with all her heart. She cried so hard she could not even speak properly anymore. God heard her cries and answered her prayers.
This is what it says about Hannah in the Bible:
“… Hannah got up and went to pray. …. Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the Lord….“O Lord of Heaven’s Armies…give me a son….As she was praying to the Lord…I was pouring out my heart to the Lord… “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” “Oh, thank you…Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.” (1 Samuel 1:9-18).
Ishmael was another person who was so sad that he cried, and cried and cried. Ishmael and his mother Hagar did not have any water to drink. They were cast out into the desert by Abraham and Sarah.
“God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, “Hagar, what’s wrong? Do not be afraid! God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Go to him and comfort him, for I will make a great nation from his descendants.”
Then God opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well full of water. She quickly filled her water container and gave the boy a drink.
And God was with the boy as he grew up in the wilderness. He became a skillful archer, and he settled in the wilderness of Paran. His mother arranged for him to marry a woman from the land of Egypt.” (Genesis 21:17-21).
You can trust God
God loves you and cares about you. God is good. He is loving and kind. God is patient and merciful. God is love. You can trust Him. If you have never cried out to God then do so. Pray to Him and pour our your heart to Him. God cares and God hears. You can rest and be at peace because God is going to bless you. He hears your prayers.
