There are many people in this world who think they know what the truth is. Many people think that they have the truth. But who do you believe? Do you believe what someone else says about the Bible, or do you believe the Bible itself? Do you believe what someone else says about the Bible, or do you believe what a Christians says about the Bible? There are many voices and opinions about the Bible, which one do you believe?
God said He would protect His Word
Is God so weak that He cannot protect His Word? If God cannot protect His Word can He protect heaven? God gave His messengers and prophets messages many, many years ago. These were God’s Words, not the words of men. So if God gave us His Word, is He not powerful enough to protect it?
The Bible teaches us that God is powerful enough to protect His Word. God created the universe, God controls the Devil Satan, and God sits on His throne in heaven and no one will be able to move Him from it. And God can also protect His Word.
The Bible teaches us: “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” (Psalms 12:6-7)
God said His Word (The Bible) would never change
God promised us in the Bible that no one would ever change His Word. God wanted and still wants us to have His Word that He delivered to His prophets many years ago.
God said: “And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.” (Revelation 22:18-19).
God said that no one would be able to change His Words in the Bible. God said no one would make His Word corrupt. God said He would protect His Word so that all those people who love God and love His Word would be able to read it.
So do you believe God about His Word, or do you believe someone else?
God wants us to obey His Word forever
The Bible is the true Word of God. God does not change His mind about His teachings. So how could God allow His Word to be changed? That means that God would have to change and we know that God never changes.
God said in His word: “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.” (Matthew 24:35).
God’s teachings and truths are eternal and forever. God is all powerful, no human being or evil power can change God’s Word. God is all powerful, and all knowing. God knows how to protect His Word and He has the power and the desire to do so.
God keeps His Word
God wants His teaching to remain pure and intact forever. He wants His people on earth to know the truth. Jesus said: “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32).
How can we know the truth if God allows His Word to be changed? God cannot allow His Word to be changed or people will stop believing in God’s power. God protects His Word because God wants people to know the truth. And the truth is that God never changes and His Word never changes either.
God warns people not to change His Word
God warns people in the Bible not to change His Word and try to corrupt it. If they do He will destroy them with His power.
“Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2).
“Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.” (Matthew 24:35).
“And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.” (Revelation 22:18-19).
God cannot go against His own teachings. God cannot lie. God is not weak. God is strong, powerful and all-knowing. God said He would protect His Word the Bible. Who says God did not protect His Word? Who would dare say that God is not powerful enough to keep His Word free from corruption?
Jesus said His Words are the truth
Jesus said: “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.” (John 5:24).
These are the true Words of God and they can never be changed.
Jesus’ disciples knew that Jesus had the Words of God and they were ready to die for believing the Words that Jesus spoke. They were ready to die for believing that Jesus’ Word were true because they knew that Jesus had the teachings and the Words that would lead them to God and to eternal life in heaven.
“Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.” (John 6:68).
Don’t let anyone fool you
So do not let anyone fool you or teach you that the Bible has been changed and corrupted. It has not. The Bible has the true Words of God that will lead to eternal life because the Bible teaches you about Jesus. And Jesus is the way to eternal life. He is the one who has control over eternal life.
“Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.” (Mark 16:16).
