Jesus is the only man who never sinned. He is the only person in history who lived on this earth and never sinned. Every other person on earth has sinned, but Jesus never sinned. Jesus was a perfect human being. He submitted to all of God’s law and lived a perfect life. He lived in perfect submission to the will and laws of God.

Jesus was God

Jesus said: “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good.” (Mark 10:18).

The people of Jesus’ time could see that Jesus was a good man and was living a perfect life. They knew that Jesus was different because He was healing everyone who came to Him for healing. Jesus was feeding the hungry and giving drink to the thirsty. Jesus was providing clothes for those who needed clothes. Jesus was even raising people from the dead. He was Good and He was God.

The people of Jesus’ time knew that Jesus was God. That is why they told Jesus: “You, who are a man, declare Yourself to be God.” (John 10:34).

The people knew that Jesus never sinned

Jesus talked to the people and He asked them if He had ever sinned. The people told Him that He never sinned. They knew He was perfect, but some people did not like Jesus because He healed people and did many good things for them. Some people do not like God. Some people do not like it when others do good things on this earth. Some people are bad and they like to do bad and evil things.

The people told Jesus that He was perfect. This is what they said: “We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.” (John 10:33).

Jesus’ followers said that Jesus never sinned

When we read about Jesus’ followers, we read that they knew that Jesus never sinned.

One of His followers named Peter said: “He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.” (1 Peter 2:22).

Another follower Paul said: “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

It is amazing to us that a man who lived on earth never sinned. Jesus never lied or cheated anyone. He never stole or killed anyone. He never treated a woman with disrespect or did anything that was sinful. He was a perfect man who loved everyone and did good things for everyone while He was on earth.

Jesus was the Light who entered the world

Jesus was the Light who entered the world from heaven. The light is good. The light is pure and holy. We know from the Bible that it says: “This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.” (1 John 1:5).

Jesus said that He was God. Jesus said that He was the Light, and we know that the Light is God.

Jesus said: “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (John 8:12).

Jesus entered the world as the Light of God but many people do not want to know God. They do not want to come to the light. But those people who love God and want to do what is right will come to God and will give Him their hearts. They will bow before God and worship and do what is right.

Jesus said: “And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.” (John 3:19).

If you love God you will worship Jesus

God is Jesus, and Jesus is God. The light of the world entered the human race in the body of Jesus. God did this so that we as human beings could see how God acts and behaves. We as human beings can then learn how a human being can act and be good upon this earth by learning from Jesus.

We can relate to and understand God because He appeared to us in human form and His followers wrote about Jesus in the Bible. The Holy Spirit told the people what to write in the Bible about Jesus.

The Bible says: “Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” (Hebrews 2:14-15).

Do not be afraid

It makes some people afraid to worship Jesus because they are thinking that they are worshipping a human being. But we must understand that Jesus is not only a human being, He is also God. It is a mystery as to how God became a man. We cannot understand all the amazing and mysterious things that God can do.

God has unlimited power and does miracles that we cannot do and that we cannot understand. We are limited in our understanding. But God has given us the ability to enter into friendship with Him through faith. We become associated and adopted into God’s family when we put our faith in Him and in His eternal Son the Lord Jesus Christ.

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners….God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners… For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” (Romans 5:5-11).
