Listen to this message:

Somali Christian Ministries would like to let you know that (YES) there are more Somali Christians out there than you think.

Two-third of Somalis are youth, in fact, if you go and visit major Somali cities you will notice clearly that youth are in the majority. But this is not only in Somalia but also in overseas countries where Somalis reside. Youths are the majority of the Somali population and large numbers are starting to realize that the message of Jesus Christ is what suits them now more than ever.

Jesus came to earth to take away sin. He was pure and sinless. He was born to a virgin. He proved His divinity by the many miracles He performed. Many of us don’t see that fact. Most Somalis grew up as Muslims. They learned about the Miracles Jesus did. They know in their hearts that no ordinary person can have such divine power. No normal person can have control and power over death. Jesus died for our sins and then rose again and appeared to many of His disciples showing them and us that He is the Lord. He is the Son of God, which means that He is God.

This plan of salvation is that God will take away our sin. He promises us heaven under one condition:

FAITH! Many people to come to know Jesus and believe in Him, and His divinity. When they do this, they become a Christian. A believer does not judge and condemn others. In fact, Christian’s welcome others, love others, and share with them the good news about Jesus. The good news of Jesus is also called the gospel. Somali Youth are part of those who recently followed Jesus and became part of Christianity. Here are some of the things they experienced after leaving their past behind them and starting to believe in Jesus as their Saviour:

1 – Believing in Jesus will straight away lead to Heaven:

There is an afterlife. Believing in Jesus will lead you to leave ignorance, darkness, and hell.  Believing in Jesus will lead to the light of life, and to salvation in heaven. A clear plan for a better life appeals to many lost people who have been searching for a savior and they found their peace in Jesus.

The Bible says:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

There has not been any clearer path to heaven than what God did for us, it’s because of his love for us that He sent his only Son so that believing in Him would not bring us hell and darkness but we would enjoy eternal life, an endless life. This is not something that you will find in any other religion, it’s very unique to Christianity and that’s why many people realize this and start to follow Jesus.

2 – There is no superiority in Christianity:

Everyone is the same, brothers & sisters. There are no religious scholars who will condemn and judge you, or consider themselves to be superior to others who are ordinary people. The Bible says:

“On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17)

Jesus clearly takes out the arrogance of those who consider themselves superiors to others. He extends His hands to outcasts, underdogs. He helps those who need help.

3 – Their life is not the same after reading the Bible:

So many Somali youths who became Christians have left behind many bad habits in their life. They became more loving, more peaceful, more calm. They started focusing on what’s best for them. They started thinking about their people back in Somalia and what they can do to help them.

The Bible brings you to God. Your relationship with Him improves very much when you spend time daily reading the holy book. Your faith increases. You become more dependent on God and less dependent on humans.

The Bible says:

“Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.” (Romans 15:4).

The Bible gives us hope and encouragement that’s why it’s worth reading, so many people among them Somali youths testified about this.

4 – In Christianity, you will gain spiritual brothers & sisters:

A Christian engages in regularly weekly gatherings with his brothers & sisters.  Besides church on Sunday, Christians gather for studying the word of God. They meet and connect with each other to boost the community relationships. Often Christians help each other and others around the world. You will often see Christian churches and organizations operating in many parts of the world engaged in helping those who need help without discrimination. The bond between Christians is strong.

These are some of the many changes Somali youths experience once they become believers in Jesus. Once they believe in Jesus, they become Christians. Many of them are burdened about their people, they want to help their fellow youth, they want others to experience what they are experiencing. Somali Christians want others to know that there is a solution for them, there is salvation, there is a better option for their life. They want other to know that it’s not too late to save your soul and believe in Jesus.

We want to let you know that you are not alone, we are praying for you that you will find the peace you are looking for. We believe that Jesus is the solution to all the problems you are facing. Perhaps you want to ask the Lord to show you the path and for Him to lead you. Pray that the Lord will soften your heart so you can listen and hear the message of Jesus.

Email us to let us know how Jesus is changing your life, or if you have any questions, we would love to answer them.
