This is in response to the Youtube Video from the Deen Show, where they discussed the “10 reasons why Jesus isn’t God.

10. Muslims say Christians believe God was created.

Wrong. Christians do not believe God was created. God is eternal, a Spirit. God became a man and was still outside of the man Jesus at the same time. God was in heaven and in Jesus at the same time. Just because Jesus was born, doesn’t mean God is not God. Just because God came down in the body of man, does not mean God was created. To say God was born means that God came out of the womb of a woman, but God is eternal and came into the body of the baby, and entered the world.

I John 4:2-3 says that “By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.”

As a Christian we need to believe that Christ (God) came down to earth to be born in the body of a man. But God was not created, the body was.

You may not understand how that happened, but Jesus is not asking you to understand how it happened, HE is asking to you believe it happened. God was never created. HE has always existed. But what differs from what Muslims believe, is that the Bible teaches that God became a man. And this did not belittle God, or reduce HIS glory in any way.

God was not created. But a body was created for God. What’s so confusing about that? The Spirit is eternal and the Holy Spirit created a body inside the womb of Mary for God to live in. This Holy One born to Mary was called Jesus.

Muslims like to say: Jesus was born, therefore God was born, therefore God was created. This logic fails because Jesus is a man, and God is an eternal Spirit. The eternal Spirit entered a created body.

Hebrews 10:5 “You have given me a body to offer.” Meaning, a body was created for the eternal God to enter into and go to the cross to die there for our sins.

9. Muslims leaders do not understand the Bible

In the video, the host Deen incorrectly quotes Scripture, because he does not know it nor understand it. No wonder Muslims are confused, they ask Muslim TV hosts who do not understand the Bible to be their spiritual leaders.

Deen said at time 7:21 in the video “The word was a god, and the word became God.” Deen is so wrong. That is so wrong. Deen is your source? Whew! Look out. If he is your leader then it is as the Bible says “The blind lead the blind.” The Bible says in John 1 “The Word was God” not “a God.” Also it says in John 1 “The Word became flesh”, Deen said “The Word became God.” He is totally wrong. And you base what you believe on him? You’re in trouble. You got blind leaders.

“I am God, there is none like me.” Yes, there is no one like God. Who else but God could come down in the body of a man, remain God, and remain outside the body of Jesus running the universe. Only God. You don’t understand it, so you don’t believe it. Jesus says “believe”.

Philipians 2: 5-11 says: “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Jesus, though HE was God in the flesh, became a slave to God so that HE could live a completely righteous life and be obedient until death, even a death on the cross.

8. Jesus did say HE was God.

In order for you to know God, you need to be born again and have your sins forgiven. Maybe that’s not the answer you were looking for. You need to confess to God that you cannot earn salvation through your own work or efforts. In order to be forgiven, or go to heaven, you need a Savior who died for you sins and paid the penalty for your sins. If you do not accept Jesus as your Savior, then you will go to hell and pay for your own sins. The choice is yours. You have a free will.

Jesus said in John 5: 38-39 that HE was God and could give eternal life “and you do not have his message in your hearts, because you do not believe me—the one he sent to you. You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.”

Jesus said that HE is the one who gives eternal life. Who else can give you eternal life but God?

He said in John 17:3-4 “And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.”

Jesus said “bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.” This proves from the Bible that Jesus existed before he was born as a man. He wants to be brought back “into the glory we shared before the world began.” Talking to God the Father. Jesus said he was with the Father “before the world began”. Either you believe it or you don’t. But it is here, in black and white, in the Bible. Jesus is God.

7. Jesus is God, was called God, and said he was God.

Thomas said to Jesus in John 20: 20-28 “My Lord and my God!” And Jesus accepted Thomas’ message.

Did you know that Jesus said in the Bible that HE would speak to people in parables? A parable is like story, it’s a way of saying something that is easy to understand, but if your heart is not right with God, you won’t understand it. If your heart is not right with God you won’t understand it. That’s because the Spirit of God is the one who helps us understand the parables. So if you don’t love God, and do not worship HIM in the Spirit, you won’t understand what God is saying. If you love God you will understand parables and what Jesus is saying. If you don’t really love God, and have not asked Jesus to forgive your sins, and are not born again, you won’t believe what Jesus says.

Jesus said and taught this in Matthew 10: 10 “And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

‘ Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,

And seeing you will see and not perceive;

for the hearts of this people have grown dull.

Their ears are hard of hearing,

And their eyes they have closed,

Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,

Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,

So that I should heal them.’

But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”

Thomas calls Jesus “My God” and Jesus says: “You believe…blessed are those who believe.” Believe what? Believe that Jesus is God. Jesus said blessed are those who believe I am God. That’s what Thomas said. And Jesus agreed with Thomas.

6. Because God became a man, God was not longer God.

Jesus ate, slept and prayed. But he never sinned. Mohammed sinned because in the Qu’ran Mohammed asks God to forgive his sins.

You believe that the word of God came through Mohammed via the angel Gabriel. You believe that Mohammed recited the words of God and others wrote them down. But do you believe that the words of God become less than the word of God because a man speaks them?

You believe Jesus is the Word of God. So how can the Word of God become less than the Word of God because it is in a man? God is still God wherever HE is.

Yet Jesus knew no sin. He was a man, but HE was also God. He was both. The Word was God, and the Word became a man. But God also remained outside the man – in heaven and elsewhere.

5. Jesus was a servant and a slave to God the Father.

If you read Philippians 2 (if you read it) it says that Jesus Christ was God, but HE chose to become a servant and give up all his rights as God so that HE could be obedient to death, even death on the cross for the sins of the world.

God is Spirit. And those who worship HIM worship HIM in Spirit.

4. Jesus existed as God before HE was born as a man.

John 17:3-4. Again it’s the same argument and the same proof. Jesus says HE existed before he was born. And as God, Jesus did exist before HE was born. So here is the verse again. “And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.”

These truths are revealed to us by God. We cannot understand them through our own reasoning and flesh. The flesh counts for nothing, the Spirit gives life.

3. Jesus was the only Son of God.

There is no one else who fits the bill like Jesus. Who else can do these things that Jesus did? Although other may be called sons of God, there is only one true Son of God – Jesus.

Who else has the power to torment Satan and the demons? Matthew 8:29 “They began screaming at him, “Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?” Can you do that?

In John 5:18 the Jews clearly say they want to kill Jesus because Jesus is calling HIMSELF God. “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.”

Matthew 26: 62-65 says that the Jews want to kill Jesus because HE calls himself God. “Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Well, aren’t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?” But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I demand in the name of the living God—tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”

Jesus replied, “You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Then the high priest tore his clothing to show his horror and said, “Blasphemy! Why do we need other witnesses? You have all heard his blasphemy. What is your verdict?”

“Guilty!” they shouted. “He deserves to die!”

Because Jesus called himself the Son of God, and admitted HE was the Messiah, the Saviour, the Christ, the Jews said kill him, because HE is calling himself God. Only problem for the Jews is that Jesus is the Son of God, and the Messiah. So they killed an innocent man. Jesus never lied because he never sinned.

Even Pilate, the man responsible for saying crucify Jesus knew that Jesus wasn’t guilty of anything.

In John 19:7 Pilate the ruler says “Take him yourselves and crucify him,” Pilate said. “I find him not guilty. The Jewish leaders replied, “By our law he ought to die because he called himself the Son of God.”

You see? Jesus called HIMSELF the Son of God, and do to so meant Jesus was calling HIMSELF God, who of course HE was. He didn’t way “I am a Son of God” he said he was “the Son of God”.

2. God did not change in character when HE became a man.

Jesus was sent to earth by God on High. Look at the life of Jesus and God and you will see that in character they were the same. The fact that Jesus ate, slept, and cried did not belittle God. How can you belittle God? God is God and there is nothing anyone can do to make HIM less God than HE is. Even if HE comes down to earth in a body of a man, HE is no less God than HE ever was.

1. Muslims says Jesus is not God. Muslims are not perfect.

I have shown earlier that Jesus says HE is God, Thomas says HE is God, the Bible says God came down in the body of a man, and Jesus never sinned and only God doesn’t sin.

Joshua says at 40:07 that by following the Qu’ran as a Muslim “you become a perfect human.” Which of course is a very proud statement. We cannot become perfect, only God is perfect.

The essence is that we as human beings cannot go to heaven through our own efforts or works. We cannot give our will to God and say that we will follow him, be obedient, become his slaves, and go to heaven. Why? Because we are not perfect. We are sinners. Deen and Josh are crazy. We all sin. No one is perfect. The Bible says:

Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.”

Isaiah 1:18 says: “Come now, and let us reason together,”

Says the LORD, Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”

The trouble with us humans is that we are sinners. And a sinner cannot produce a good work that in the eyes of God is worthy for that person to go to heaven? How can you clean something with a filthy rag? How can a sinner do a sinless act?

If they persecuted and killed Jesus, they will do the same to HIS followers.

Luke 23:26 says: “Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear it after Jesus. And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him. But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’ Then they will begin ‘to say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’ For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?”

There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

And they divided His garments and cast lots. And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.”

And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:

Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

My point here is that mankind killed Jesus. HE was perfect, HE was God in the flesh. And they killed him. Then Jesus asks what will they do to his followers once he is gone?

I don’t want to get into what happens to some Muslim converts. I think you already know.
