Many of us have a lot of difficulties and problems in our lives. Our days are filled with pain, sorrow and loneliness. We don’t think anyone cares. We feel alone. So we pray and ask God to remove our problems or heal us from our sickness but nothing happens: things only get worse. So we continue to pray and ask God to deliver us from our problems but the problem doesn’t go away. What do we do them?
“Qalbigaaga dhammaantii Rabbiga ku aamin,
Oo waxgarashadaadana ha isku hallayn.Jidadkaaga oo dhan isaga ku qiro,
Oo isna waddooyinkaaguu toosin doonaa.” – Maahmaahyadii 3:5-6
We have to remember that God is good and that God cares about us.
Jesus said:
“Laakiin timaha madaxiinna oo dhan waa tirsan yihiin.” – Luukos 12:7
God cares about each and every hair on your head. God cares about all of your problems and all of your difficulties. He sees you. He sees your sickness. He sees your lack of food. He sees all the trouble in your life. And if you pray to Him He will answer you. He sees your depression and fear.
There was a lady in the Old Testament who had a lot of sadness in her life. She wanted to have a baby but for some reason she could not get pregnant. Her name was Hannah. And one day she prayed to the Lord with a lot of tears and sorrow and the Lord heard her and she did have a baby.
“Saas aawadeed Xannaah way kacday markii ay Shiiloh wax ku cuneen oo ay wax cabbeen dabadeed. Haddaba wadaadkii Ceelii ahaa wuxuu ku fadhiistay kursigiisii oo ag yiil macbudka Ilaah tiirkiisa. Iyadu aad bay u murugootay, oo intay ooyday ayay Rabbiga bariday. Markaasay nidar nidartay, oo waxay tidhi, Rabbiga Ciidammadow, haddaad fiirisid dhibta aan anoo addoontaada ah qabo, oo aad i soo xusuusatid, ee aadan i illoobin anoo addoontaada ah, laakiinse aad i siiso wiil, de markaas cimrigiisa oo dhan waan ku siinayaa, Rabbiyow, oo madaxiisana mandiil lama marin doono. Oo intii ay Rabbiga hortiisa ku baryootamaysay ayuu Ceelii fiiriyey afkeedii. Haddaba Xannaah waxay ka hadlaysay qalbigeeda, oo bushimaheeda keliya ayaa dhaqdhaqaaqayay, laakiinse codkeedii lama maqlin; sidaas daraaddeed Ceelii wuxuu mooday inay sakhraantay. Markaasaa Ceelii wuxuu iyadii ku yidhi, Ilaa gormaad sakhraamaysaa? Khamrigaaga iska fogee. Markaasaa Xannaah u jawaabtay oo ku tidhi, Maya, sayidkaygiiyow, ee waxaan ahay naag ruuxeedu murugaysan yahay, oo ma aanan cabbin khamri iyo wax lagu sakhraamo toona, laakiinse naftaydaan Rabbiga ku baryayaa. Anoo addoontaada ah ha igu tirin gabadh xun; waayo, welwelkayga iyo xanaaqayga batay aawadood ayaan ilaa haatan u hadlayay. Markaasaa Ceelii u jawaabay oo yidhi, Nabad ku tag, oo Ilaaha reer binu Israa’iil ha ku siiyo baryadaadii aad weyddiisatay. Markaasay tidhi, Anoo addoontaada ah naxariis aan kaa helo. Sidaas daraaddeed naagtii way iska tagtay, oo wax bay cuntay, oo wejigeeduna mar dambe ma murugsanayn.” – Samuu’eel Kowaad 1:9-18
Let us listen to a story about a man named Andrew who lived in India in a city called Bangladesh. Andrew was an evangelist who used to spend his time telling people about the love of Jesus Christ. Andrew spoke to many people.
One day some evil people decided that they wanted Andrew dead. So they sent an assassin to kill Andrew. The assassin showed up at Andrew’s office and went inside. The assassin raised his gun to shoot Andrew. The two men stared at each other and then the assassin left Andrew’s office with his arm still in the air holding the gun.
A little while later Andrew’s phone rang and it was the same man who had been in his office to kill him. The man explained that he had been paid to kill the evangelist but that when he raised his arm holding the gun to shoot his arm froze and he couldn’t shoot.
The assassin said that he got frightened and so he ran away. But now his arm was still frozen in the air. He asked Andrew to pray for him.
Andrew prayed for the assassin’s arm. As soon as Andrew prayed the assassin’s arm was healed. The assassin was very happy that his arm was healed and asked the evangelist what happened. Andrew the evangelist told the assassin that it was by the name of Jesus that he had been healed.
The assassin asked Andrew many questions about the Lord Jesus Christ and then asked Jesus Christ to come into his heart and to forgive him of all his sins. The assassin became a Christian that very day.
Jesus has the power to heal. So when help is not coming to you then you can pray to the Lord Jesus Christ and He will come to help you.
The Bible says that:
“Ilaah waa magangalkeenna iyo xooggeenna, Oo waa caawimaad inoo diyaar ah wakhtiga dhibaatada.” – Sabuurradii 46:1
And Jesus Christ is God. He is an ever-present help in times of trouble. One day when the followers of Jesus met a man who could not walk they prayed for him and the man was healed. The people were amazed to see a miracle happen and that a man who was crippled was healed.
It also says in the Bible:
“Magiciisa ayaa xoogsiiyey kan aad arkaysaan oo garanaysaan, rumaysadka uu magiciisa ku rumaystay aawadiis. Rumaysadka uu ku rumaystay isaga ayaa ninkan idinka oo dhan hortiinna ku siiyey caafimaadkan.” – Falimaha Rasuullada 3:16
God is a God of miracles. God can do anything. God can bring peace in the middle of a storm. He can bring peace in the middle of a war. God is a God of miracles.
God can bring you out of your place of danger and bring you into a place of safety. He can cause murderers to stop killing. God can cause evil people to stop what they are doing. God can deliver you from the lion’s mouth.
One day the disciples of Jesus were traveling across a lake on a boat. Suddenly the wind got stronger and waves started to grow. The boat started to rock back and forth and the disciples of Jesus got scared and lost their faith in God. The disciples thought that the boat was going to break apart and that they would sink and drown in the lake.
Sometimes we feel like that. Sometimes the waves of life shake us and we get scared. We think that our family will break apart and that we are going to die. We lose our faith in the mighty God. We forget that we believe in the God of miracles. We forget that God loves us and cares about us and wants to answer all our prayers. We stop believing in the power of God to do miracles.
But when we pray and cry out to God for help Jesus will come and help us. Jesus is the one who has all the answers and can do the miracles in our lives that we need. We can trust in Jesus Christ because He loves us and He cares for us. Jesus rose from the dead and is alive to help us. He can hear us, He can see us, He can help us.
“Maalmahaas middood waxaa dhacay inuu doonni fuulay isaga iyo xertiisiiba, wuxuuna iyaga ku yidhi, Dhanka kale oo badda aan u gudubno, goortaasay dhaqaaqeen. Laakiin intay socdeen ayuu seexday, oo waxaa baddii ku soo dhacay duufaan weyn oo dabayl ah; doonnidiina ayaa buuxsamaysay, oo halis bay ku jireen. Markaasay isaga u yimaadeen oo intay toosiyeen ayay ku yidhaahdeen, Macallimow, Macallimow, waa lumaynaaye. Kolkaasuu kacay oo canaantay dabayshii iyo hirarkii biyaha. Goortaasay degeen oo xawaal baa dhacday. Markaasuu wuxuu iyaga ku yidhi, Rumaysadkiinnii meeh? Iyagoo baqaya oo yaabban waxay isku yidhaahdeen, Haddaba yuu yahay kan amra xataa dabaysha iyo biyaha oo ay yeelaan?” – Luukos 8:22-25
So let us all be strong in faith in the Lord. Let us not give up believing in the power of God and that He is with us and that He will help us.
“Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah ayaa dhexdaada jooga, isagu waa mid xoog badan oo ku badbaadin doona. Farxad buu kuugu rayrayn doonaa, oo wuxuu ku nasan doonaa jacaylkiisa, oo gabay buu kuugu farxi doonaa.” – Sefanyaah 3:17
Let us pray.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ. There are many people listening right now who are in need of a miracle. Your word says that you are an ever present help in times of trouble. And there are many people who are in trouble right now. I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior to show your mighty hand upon the needy today and help them in their difficulty. I asked you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to heal the sick and minister to those who are in need. Amen.
