Many years ago someone wrote a book called Frankenstein. The book was about a man who created a living person out of the parts of dead bodies. The creation turned out to be a monster. The monster murdered several people and its creator died of exhaustion and sickness.

The teaching of the book is that human beings should not do things that are beyond what God has ordered them to do.

The Book of Genesis puts it this way:

“The LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the LORD God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” – Genesis 2:15-17

God has given limits for us

God is our creator. And He has given limits for us to live within. He has given us the 10 commandments; some of the commandment are:

“Do not steal; do not kill; do not commit adultery.” – Exodus chapter 20

In the New Testament it says:  “we must not engage in sexual immorality”.

God has provided limits for us to live within. He has given us rules to live by – and we should live outside of those rules.

Why do you live beyond the boundaries?

We are given boundaries to live within everywhere. We walk on the sidewalk not on a street; we park where it is legal to park and not in the middle of the road. We live within boundaries each and every day. But what about the boundaries that God has set for us; do you live within God’s boundaries?

God said do not steal: do you steal? You know it is wrong to commit fraud: but do you commit fraud? You know it is wrong to go and fight in Somalia and kill others: but do you dream of being a fighter for you clan and killing others? God said do not murder: but you do dream and imagine that it would be good to murder?

The Bible says evil times will come upon the earth

The Bible says that there will be a time upon the earth when men will call what is good – evil; and they will call what is evil – good? God sees everything we do – we cannot escape His watchful eye.

“What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter. What sorrow for those who are wise in their own eyes and think themselves so clever. What sorrow for those who are heroes at drinking wine and boast about all the alcohol they can hold. They take bribes to let the wicked go free, and they punish the innocent.” – Isaiah 5:20-23

Call upon God and be saved

“Seek the LORD while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near.
Let the wicked change their ways
and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:6-9

Many of you are living lives you know are wrong; your conscience is telling you to stop doing the things that you are doing. But you are influenced by your so-called friends and you someone believe – in a twisted way – that what you are doing is good even though it is wrong.

Come to your senses young man. Sober up. Start thinking straight. Start thinking clearly.

“How can you sleep at a time like this?” he shouted. “Get up and pray to your god! Maybe he will pay attention to us and spare our lives.” – Jonah 1:6

Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. There is still time. Do it now. Turn your life over to Christ and don’t look back.
