Many people think that following God’s laws will make you right. But how can a sinner be made right by following the law? How can the law change a person’s heart? If a person is a sinner, and if his heart is unclean, how can he be made right and pure by following the law?

The problem with humanity is that they have sin in their hearts. And unless God cuts away our sinful nature we cannot live a holy life for God.

It say in the Bible, in the Book of Colossians, “When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature.” (Colossians 2:11).

You cannot be made clean by following the law. A black car cannot be made white if you wash it with soap. The car will still be black. You cannot make your heart clean and pure by following the law. If your heart is black the law cannot make it white.

It says in the Bible, in the Book of Romans, “We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.” (Romans 6:6).

You cannot make your heart clean by trying to follow God’s law. You cannot make your own heart clean. You cannot take your sinful heart and make it pure and holy. You need someone else to make it clean for you. That someone else is Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ can take away your black heart and give you a white and pure and holy heart. It is only through Jesus that you can be made pure and holy.

No matter how hard to try, you will never be able to clean your dirty, sinful heart. No matter how long you pray, no matter how many religious trips you make, no matter now much money you give to the poor, you cannot and will not ever be able to clean your own heart from sin.

You need someone to clean your heart for you. And that someone is Jesus Christ. You cannot cook a meal without a fire. No matter how hard to try to cook your dinner without a fire, you will never be able to cook it. It doesn’t matter how hard to try, how much you pray, or how much you fast, you will never clean your heart. You need someone else to clean your heart for you. You need Jesus Christ to clean your heart for you.

If you don’t have a stove you cannot cook your meal. It doesn’t help if you yell at the food. It doesn’t help if you stay up all night. If you do not have a fire you cannot cook your food. And if you do not have a Saviour you cannot be freed from your sins.

You need someone to clean you from your sins. You need Jesus Christ to save you from your sins.

Jesus was a pure and holy man who never sinned. The Bible says: Jesus “never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.” (1 Peter 2:22). Jesus never killed anyone. Jesus never lied to anyone. Jesus never stole anything from anyone. He was pure and holy. He was perfect. And because He was perfect He did not have to die for His sins. Only those people who have sinned have to die for their sins. But Jesus never sinned so He did not have to die.

But Jesus chose to die for our sins. He took our sins upon Himself on the cross and died for our sins. The righteous one died for us, the unrighteous. The pure one, Jesus, died for the impure one, me and you. Jesus died so that He could us free from our sins. Jesus died so that we could be forgiven. Jesus died so that we could go to heaven.

The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins. If you put your faith in Jesus Christ right now He will wash away your sins. Jesus will make you clean. Jesus will give you a new heart. Jesus will make you right with God.

You cannot get right with God on your own. You cannot clean a dish with a dirty rag. We cannot make ourselves right with God. We need a Saviour and that Saviour is Jesus Christ.

I’m not here to condemn you. And Jesus did not enter the world to condemn you. Jesus entered the world so that you would have a chance to be saved and be able to have your sins washed away. Jesus entered this world so that you would be able to stop working so hard and be made clean by putting your faith in Him and believing in Him.

Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Accept Jesus Christ and you will have your sins forgiven and be able to go to heaven. Follow the Lord Jesus Christ and you will have eternal life. Your soul will be set free from the slavery and bondage of sin and you will become a new person.

Many Somalis around the world have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Some have written books about their conversion to Jesus. Like Esther Digniin and the late Ahmed Haile. These two Somalis, like many other, have found peace and the forgiveness of sins by putting their faith in Jesus Christ, the one who died on the cross for our sins.
