First of all let me tell you that Spiritual Warfare is real. There is a kingdom of darkness ruled by Satan who has his spiritual slaves known as demons, unclean spirits, or evil spirits who follow his orders.
The devil and his army have 2 goals:
The first goal of the Satanic Kingdom is to keep people from hearing and understanding the truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:4 “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”
Satan has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News.
That is why we as Christians have to pray what Jesus told us to pray, in fact He Jesus told us to bind the devil whom He called the strongman. Listen to what Jesus says about the devil: “Who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man like Satan and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger–someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.” (Mark 3:27).
Satan power and demons and evil spirits come in many forms. There is the spirit fear – a demon. The sprit of rejection – a demon. The spirit of suicide – an unclean spirit. Deaf, dumb and mute spirits. And many, many lying spirits. We don’t want these spirits in our lives. Even as Christians we can be influenced by them.
It is like Jesus said about those who have been cleansed from these things: “Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will be the experience of this evil generation.”
So that is the first goal of Satan and his demon legions – to keep people away from becoming Christians; to keep them bound in sin and the distractions of the world so that they don’t even want to bother to listen or hear the Good News about Jesus.
The second goal of the demonic powers is to keep Christians from serving the Lord and telling other about Christ. If Satan has lost you to the Kingdom of Light he doesn’t want you working in the Kingdom. Satan uses many tools to keep Christians away from serving the Lord.
One major tool is the Spirit of Fear. This is what the Somali community has over them. They Spirit of Fear. Now I have been doing this ministry for over 20 years, almost 25 years now, and I can tell you that the Spirit of Fear is binding hundreds and thousands of Somali Christians to the point where they are afraid to go to church; afraid to get baptized; afraid to get married (because they don’t want to marry a Muslim but they are afraid to marry a Christian).
Many Somali Christians are afraid to join churches because there aren’t any Somalis there. I mean how many Somali Christians do you see on youtube? How many are raising there voices and proclaiming the Gospel? How many are providing their testimonies?
Hmmm….there are more Somali gay groups on Paltalk than there are Somali Christians. There are more Somali pirates robbing boats than there are Somali Christians sharing the Gospel. There are more guns in Somalia than Bibles in the homes of Somali Christians.
Yes…I know there are some Somali Christians out there…somewhere; but where? When are you going to come out of the closet and proclaim your faith in the Saviour so that others will know that Jesus is alive and Jesus saves?
What are you afraid of? Death? You will live forever….why are you afraid to die?
Are you afraid you will lose a place to sleep? God owns the universe why are you afraid of losing your home?
Are you afraid of your community? You should be afraid of God who can throw your soul into hell – not be afraid of people.
Yes, there are Somali Christians in the world and some of them are reaching out. Some are making CDs, others are doing interviews, others are reaching out to family and friends on Facebook and Paltalk. But let us be real…there are Somali gay imans on youtube, Somali atheists all over the place on TV, but are there any Somali Christians who speak English?
Hey! Seriously! You Somali Christians out there! Why can’t you put something on Youtube in English – the most commonly spoken language of the INTERNET?
Let me remind you dear brothers and sisters – cowards will not enter Heavens doors!
Revelation 21:8 “But coward …. their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
In other words, if you are not prepared to take a stand and speak out for the Lord and shrink back in fear – you are not worthy of heaven. So don’t think that your words that you say “I believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour” is some kind of SALVATION BLANKET that you put on and you are safe from hell. No, you must not be a coward for the Lord Jesus Christ.
There is hatred towards us as Christians and we must be prepared to face the anger and hatred of those who do not believe in Jesus.
Another issue binding Somali Christians is their pride in their language and culture. Somalis are proud of their language, their culture. Presently Somalis are one of the most closed people groups on earth. Somalis don’t like to move out of their own community and mix with people of other nations. They stick to themselves in their communities wherever they go on earth.
So rise up Somali Christians! Let us hear you speak in English! Tell us who Jesus Christ is! Stop hiding in our caves and out in the bush! Stop hiding in your houses and rooms and meeting together in your little Somali language Christian groups and praising one another! Get out there and save souls!
The New Generation of Somalis doesn’t even speak Somali and you keep on blabbing on and on in a language they don’t even understand – get with the times. Putin speaks English! Everyone speaks English! So let us hear you Somali Christians open your mouths and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a language we all understand.
Stop catering to the Somali ethnic loyalists! Start reaching Somalis for Christ! Rise up Somali Christian church and speak out for the Lord!
So stop being afraid my dear Somali Christian brothers and sisters. Don’t be afraid to speak in English and proclaim the Gospel. God is the God of all languages, so why aren’t you speaking to us in the language of the WEB – English?
You are Christians first – Somalis seconds – not the other way around.
